So, I was on the phone last weekend with my friend Alexandra, thinking through the new series that we want to start doing here at WTPD, called #IBuyBlue.
Thankfully, I almost never eat at ANY restaurant chains and I truly HATE Dunkin.
That said, I spent lots (HEAPS) at Amazon so that will be a really hard habit to break. For one thing, no local market has any of the exotic Asian foods I buy from them. Any Manhattan is 100 miles way so going there for a bottle of some flavored soy sauce is out of the question. I want to do the right thing, but my Amazon addiction is strong. I will print out a list of everything I bought in the past year and see what I could have bought locally from an independent store.
I agree we should buy local whenever possible, but these big chains also provide a lot of jobs and I don't want people to lose their jobs. Then we have created another problem. So there's a dilemma here. What about Target and WalMart? What about Dick's and Kohl's? What about the supermarket chains? Where should we be buying our food? Do you have any info about where they stand on the RED/Blue Spectrum?

Whole Foods?
I love this. It’s such a positive and hopeful and constructive action we can all take.
I cancelled my Washington Post subscription but I knew in my heart this is the step to take.
We can support other online shopping, they employ people too
And Amazon owns Kindle and Audible.
